GoodHeart Collaborative helps mission-driven people and organizations stay healthy, connected, and effective.
The people caring for our communities are carrying too much.
The mission matters.
So do the people carrying it.
The people making our world better, safer, and healthier deserve to do it without burning out. We help them break the patterns keeping them overextended, build real support, and work together more sustainably.
In 2019, I created GoodHeart Collaborative for the people who spend their lives caring for others.
I had seen what happened when compassionate, capable people carried enormous needs for too long without enough support. They became exhausted, disconnected from themselves, and unsure how to keep serving without sacrificing their health.
The original GoodHeart app provided burnout and compassion-fatigue assessments, guided reflection, expert support, practical interventions, peer connection, gratitude, and space to celebrate victories.
The need has only grown.
Today, GoodHeart carries that original mission forward by supporting the people doing mission-driven work and helping their organizations connect, coordinate, and collaborate more sustainably.
Burnout affects people, retention, capacity, and mission delivery.
Nearly 90% of nonprofit leaders expressed concern about their own burnout, with a similar percentage indicating that burnout affects their staff.
The original GoodHeart app was launched in 2020.
This expanded platform is currently being shaped with nonprofit and social-enterprise leaders.
Built for the people who care for others.
No leader can meet every need. No organization possesses every resource. No single nonprofit can solve a systemic problem alone.
GoodHeart helps people and organizations find support, exchange resources, coordinate efforts, and create healthier ways to work together.
I spent years building and leading mission-driven organizations, including a licensed residential program and school serving teenage survivors of sex trafficking. I know what it feels like to carry a mission you care deeply about while managing funding, staffing, compliance, community need, and the emotional weight of the work.
I also know what happens when the person carrying the mission begins to disappear beneath it.
In 2019, I created GoodHeart Collaborative and built a mobile app for helpers and mission-driven professionals navigating burnout and compassion fatigue. Since then, I have continued developing tools and curriculum that help people recognize the patterns affecting their health, leadership, and decisions and change them.
GoodHeart Collaborative is returning to its original purpose: Helping mission-driven people and organizations stay healthy, connected, and effective.
Hello! I’m Kristen.
I have spent more than a decade as a speaker, trainer, and facilitator, delivering workshops and training sessions for organizations of all sizes across Colorado, from small teams to large institutions, hotels, and churches, as well as conferences, leadership events, and nonprofit gatherings statewide.
I created and taught several original programs, including the Nonprofit Start-Up Masterclass and Protect Your Compassionate Heart, a training developed for helping professionals navigating compassion fatigue and burnout. In 2021, I was recognized as a top contestant in Amplify for a leadership training program I developed called The Mindful Leader.
I have served as a keynote presenter for Executive Women International in Denver, the ACAMS Colorado Chapter, and multiple nonprofit fundraising galas, and have delivered additional training sessions for organizations including Kiwanis. My work has been featured on 9News, FOX31 Denver, and Great Day Colorado, on radio programs including KOSI 101, WayFM, and KOOL 105, and in publications including 303 Magazine, 5280 Magazine, and The Formidable Woman.
